Oath Ceremony
After you pass your interview, you will be informed of your scheduled time to take the Oath of Allegiance. If you cannot attend, you must return the notice to a USCIS office and explain why, so that you can reschedule. Your notice will have a questionnaire; please fill it out before the ceremony. a USCIS officer will review your answers before the ceremony begins.
You will return your green card to USCIS when you check in, and after taking the Oath of Allegiance, you will receive your Certificate of Naturalization. Now you will be able to apply for a U.S. passport (which you will need before you leave the country again), register to vote, and update your social security record (after 10 days).
Congratulations! You are now a U.S. citizen! We hope this guide was helpful, and are proud of the journey you made.
